Depends what materials will be used, stainless steel pipes? mandrel bends? aluminized or stainless welds?

Otherwise, not at all right, you should only have to pay 4/5ths of that price.

I bought mufflers, tips, and my shop fabbed my system for $230, and I deleted my rear cats myself, total of $540.

I bought a Magnaflow 14" muffler and 4" x 18" tips from Performance Peddler for ~$150 and then had it installed for $100 and that included the 2 1/2" tailpipes. I already had 3" pipe from the y-pipe so I did not have to buy that. The piping is aluminized and the bends are not mandrel bends but I can't complain for an OTD price of less than $250.

Mine totaled almost the same. Bought mufflers, tips, x-pipe, high-flow cats, and shop fabbed it for $165.

what could help with pricing is just taking off what you can from your truck with what you've got. I know that helped my brother take off about 250 bucks(then again he does have access to a cutting torch and is a well to do mechanic) but he's helping me with mine and i should save about 200. just thought this might help. especially if your in a tight spot for cash.

I replaced my stock muffler with a magnaflow 18 inch, kept the stock pipe and added a stainless magnaflow tip. I did the swap myself and reused factory hangers. About 80 bucks for muffler and 12" piece of extension pipe and another $30 for the tip. I got about $110 in mine.
