more low end...

alright guys i have a 99 f150 with pacesetter longtubes and highflow cats true dual with a set of race mufflers on each pipe than exited 45 down with tips out behind the tires.. the pipe is 2.5"

I was wondering if i put a x pipe in there would it give me the low end i want? or would it not matter?

idk if i am not gettin enuf back pressure or what.. It is still fast just not on low end...
idk what it could be..
if you have any other ideas let me know
thanks for the help

David

what race mufflers? and do u have any sort of crossover? yes, the X pipe will help without a doubt. 2.25" would have been a better bet, but no going back now haha.

The X pipe will help balance both engine banks velocity to level out a proper scavenging level for your true duals. Keep it as close to where the OEM Y pipe was as possible.

Chambered mufflers do not equal good performing mufflers.

2.5" true duals are overkill, 2.25" would have more low end.
