Roush Off road, Now a month back order WTH!!

Well paid for the roush off road two weeks ago, been told by roush directly it will ship 9/3/09 and today I called again after again hearing nothing and guess what, they had a computer screw up and are nationally on back order for a minimum of three weeks to a month before it could even be shipped WTF!! I called everyone that carries these including woodhouse and they are all out of stock and waiting for roush to get it together as well.. I'm beginning to wonder if I should just get my money back, problem is my heart is set on the roush kit for its looks and sound. What do you guys think I should do?? There are no good exhaust shops to make me anything around here, most of the places won't even touch exhaust stuff..
Anyone got a used one they want to sell!!

I know you don't want to hear this, just be patient.

Another reason I made my own Roush sounding system lol. Just be patient and maybe chop your OEM muffler out for now if you demand sound asap. I originally was going to buy the Roush kit, but disliked the tailpipe exiting and tip length, and felt it was stupid to have it changed to my preferences after spending $500+ so I designed my system and removed my rear cats and achieved an even better sound for a pinch less. Not suggesting you do the same, just telling my story.

Well heres the thing, its not that I'm impatient its the fact that I sold my magnaflow cat-back right off the truck because I had ordered and paid for the roush a week before and was told I would have it the day I shipped the magnaflow. Of course as soon as the magnaflow kit was shipped I was contacted by roush that it would be three more days, so I figured no big deal. Now one more week and a few more phones calls later and this happens. So right now my truck has only a mid-pipe for an exhaust. Now it sounds cool, but my trucks inspection is up and it will not pass now. So I don't want to wait three weeks or more to drive my truck. I do have a ford ranger also, but its like driving a pinto compared to a lexus.. So I am patient, but not , lol!!

Darren I dont have the stock exhaust anymore, but that was a good idea, lol! I actually would like to do your set-up with different mufflers but there is literally no shops that will do it around me. They all use crappy piping and nothing is mandrel bent as they dont do it, they all wanted 5hours worth of labor to be paid by me, and it will cost me the same or more in the end and I would have crappy bends and crappy piping.. it would be great to a good exhaust shop. Around here you give shops a heart attack with anything other then stock stuff. Its insane.

I still have the super 44 but the stock midpipe has no hanger, nor does the 44 so I'm not sure I want to do anything there as it will be a pain to make a hanger, the biggest thing is I'm afraid I will start to like that set-up better and then get stuck with a 500.00 exhaust I didnt want anymore, lol!!!
Man it sucks with no places around to make an exhaust..

Buy a $40 Dynomax bullet and clamp it in to satisfy you until the Roush arrives. Then sell it.

Edit: never mind I was typing this before I saw your reply.

Maxout05, look into a borla or a ford racing exhaust, they are identical to the roush. Actually borla makes all three, they just put different names on it.

EDIT: Just looked at the summit site and they have the roush off road split rear exit in stock ready to ship, if thats the one you wanted.

Yea its in stock at summit because its 684.90 shipped, lol!!! Ridiculous.. I paid 495.00 shipped direct to my door from roush. I'll save almost 200.00 to wait alittle, no biggie, haha!!
Also the borla, and ford racing kits are insanely expensive.

thanks though

Very shortly. The holiday screwed everything up. I ordered from a local customs shop and he saved me $146.00 from buying online. The cheapest my wheel & tire pkg mounted and balanced was $2,496 from RimzOneOnline, I scored them for $2,350 mt/bl'd. Today the warehouse received the wheels, so I would imagine sometime earlier today the tires were mounted and balanced, or atleast tomorrow morning. I was told tomorrow, or thursday at the very latest. Hopefully so.
