Atleast you had it, I was under the impression you scrapped it already.

Well I kinda did. Two years ago I put aluminium duck tape over the ends to make sure nothing got in it. Then I just threw it in a tarp enclosure I had on my property. About a year and a half ago a tree fell on it and since it was so far out on the property I just left it. Well I went out to it last night expecting to see rusted bent carnage and low and behold it looked the same as the day it came off, I actually was wondering why I ever took it off, lol! It was sitting in the dirt and exposed for the whole year and a half. It cleaned right up!
The stock system feels like it weighs 200lbs when your installing it.. At least now I can get my truck inspected.

I still think the roush is worth waiting for. I guess they had a problem with one of the pipes in the kit during production and they pulled every single kit and chucked the pipe. So now they had to re-make the pipe. Sounds like pretty decent product control to me, but it sucks I have to wait longer. But hey anybody who wants one right now does too, so thats cool with me, lol!!! I'm just depressed my stocker is on when I paid for a new kit!!

Definitely wait for the Roush. I learned a long time ago not to settle because you just end up paying for that part later on anyway.

Did you look on evilbay for the kit? Thats where I got mine and its about 30 bucks more shipped. So if the 30 bucks is worth the remainder of the back order it might be worth a shot. 489 + 39 shipping

Its not who I bought it from, its roush themselves that are the problem. Anyone you get the kit from direct ships from roush. I called everyone, including woodhouse and they all said the same thing.
I actually wanted the roush to begin with two years ago. Everyone on here at the time was all about magnaflow and the magnaflow at the time was alot cheaper then the roush, so I bought the magnaflow cat-back. I hated it from day one, it was not at all what I was looking for. So I've waited two years, so I may as well wait alittle longer.
Yes I bought it from lance cunnigham ford on evilbay as you called it. 450.00 plus 45.00 to ship. They have been very good to deal with. Very communicative and helpful, the guy is pretty pissed at roush though, Because hes waiting on like 20 kits and they keep changing the date of shipments. He offered me a full refund, but I told him for now I will stick it out. If roush pushes it back again I don't know what I will decide. I might just return it and keep the stocker on.
I called around, every place is out of stock due to roushs issue. Except summit where it is 200.00 more then anywhere else. Gee I wonder why they are the only ones with it in stock..

If it doesn't work out with the Roush look into a Borla kit. As said before Borla makes the Roush kit.

I'm glad I have my ROUSH exhaust! I love it every time I turn the key, press the remote start button, or hammer the pedal! Just be patient, good things come to those who wait!...

I'd love to buy the borla kit, but everywhere I've looked the kit is almost 700.00. I don't need anything that bad, lol!!

thanks though. I'm actually not minding the stock exhaust at all right now. My first thought on startup was why did I bother taking it off when I did.

I can wait.. I'm more interested in spending my free time getting my sled together for the winter season anyhow.

If the kit takes too long I will most likely just return it for now because I can't see letting some ford dealer hold onto 500.00 buck from me if they got nothing to give me. Last roush said it was three weeks to my door, that was tuesday so I will just wait till next week, call again, and take it from there.

What, its a cat-back kit, we'll un-bolt it overnight and re-install your OEM in its place, waiting problem solved, and you get a already broken in exhaust

Weld your exhausts people, weld!

Haha! oh well!

Talked to roush today, they were shipped a batch of pipes from borla that were not to roush's specs and therefore were pulled. They have the kits all boxed up, except the one pipe. So basically they are waiting for the pipes to come in from borla and then they will be able to tape em up and ship them out. They are hoping for 9/21 for the pipes to come in, so Its lookin at least like another few weeks or so.. So basically borla is actually to blame, lol!!

So I was coming out of the store tonight and an f-150 was parked next to me and then drove by with a roush system, I'm hoping it was the legal version and not the off road because it sounded like crap!! It had roush tips and the piping was all the same but i didn't want to get underneath some persons truck and look at the muffler. It sounded very close to stock with a low rumble when he floored it but wasn't at all a good sound, nor was it loud.. I'm getting nervous here about my decision. Maybe the damn thing will never show up anyway, cause its still on back order.. I gotta say the stocker is like driving a big honda civic! I hate it lol!
