Question for migdaddy,DarrenWS6 and others about the Bullet!

Ok,ok, I get it. I have an Extreme and it isn't so great on the flow charts and quality factor. I am thinking about fixing that! I love the loudness though and the raspyness if there is such a word on the Extreme. Will the Bullet sound just as loud as the Extreme with the set up I have now? I have 3 inch pipe into the Extreme and two pipes 2.25 into the 3 inch wide, 16 inch long tips. I know the Bullet is Si/So so I want to Y pipe it into the same tips and pipes I have now. I would like the pipes to be larger but thinking about the price and would it be worth it to go to 3 inches? I basically want to just swap out the Extreme for the Bullet with a Y. Will the drone be worse than I have now? I have all four factory cats. Will it be just loud or will it have any tone with the two pipes instead of one? I appreciate everybody's help on this as well but I know mig has one and Darren wants one and knows a lot about this kind of stuff. Here is what I have now.

Honestly, if you're already going to go through the trouble of swapping mufflers, you might as well make it true dual with 2 bullets and an X/H-pipe. You've already got the tailpipes for true duals, and yes it will be loud!

off subject here greenmachine, but how long have you had the tips in front of the rear tire? have you been inspected yet since they were installed? reason I ask is here in the Triangle area, namely wake county, they said mine before the tire is a no no as it wasn't stock. I was just checking to see if anyone said anything to you on your inspection. Thanks

hello! bullet time eh? good choice. u have 2 choices. and the sound will be almost identical as if u were running a single pipe out. the drone might be a little more, but im sure u can handle it due to the muffler u have now.

1- add a 3" bullet and a Y and run it dual out pipes like u have now. that will sound good... loud and deep!
2- is more expensive, but louder and better performance. you can change the 3" piping from the Y back to 2.5" piping and 2 2.5" bullets, H pipe (which just connects the 2 pipes) and run the same pipes out with the same tips. that will be a gnarly setup.

Thanks guys I appreciate all who replied and yes you all have been helpfull. I was wondering what the prices would be for
1)Just the Y and Bullet
2)X pipe two Bullets
Once again thanks for your time guys. I don't want to get ripped off because I don't know what prices would be reasonable if i got an estimate.

Y and Bullet without install: $60 bucks shipped from summit racing
Install: around 100 bucks no more since you already have the piping

X pipe and 2 bullets: $150 shipped from summit racing
Install:around $200 bucks

those install prices are rough. call a few shops and get different quotes if need be.

All sounds good to me. If you have an extra $100 or so I would go for the true duals. And correction, I dont want 'one', I want two
