straight pipes

ok im thinking of doing straights but the thing is where i live the cops have a strict noise policy! so i was wondering if i do the straights with a x or h pipe if that would but enough back pressure to eliminate the backfireing?

and if you have vids of this setup please post!

Straights aren't so loud on a Ford, especially the '97 - '04 models, you'll be alright as long as you keep it low throttle in town.

look at your local laws, about noise and cars, in illinios as long as it has a muffler it, or something that looks like a muffler it is 100% legal.

A bullet might not be a bad idea as Mig said. It is deep and loud. Would probably sound better too.

Go with a Cherry Bomb Extreme. It is legal and sounds like a straight pipe. Of course the mighty DarrenWS6 who knows all doesn't agree with me.

No I agree that it sounds like a straight pipe. I dont see how it can make a sound of any sorts other than cutting back on popping. Its just gonna sound more straight piped when it rusts off
