Exhaust Problem/Question...Again

Hey everyone. Been down this road before and I'll probably get harrassed for going with this muffler but thats fair. Mid January, I posted on here that my magnaflow si/do exhaust had a hole in it. I replaced it with a Cherry Bomb Vortex. Just thought I'd try a little different sound. All in all, I was pleased with that decision. However, I had been having some other issues with my truck of late and looked under there. Took a peak at my Cherry Bomb which is only 7.5 months old and 8,000 miles. There has been 0 rain here in lovely San Antonio, so tell me what you think. Is this normal, should I expect this? What does it mean and where is it headed? I'm not really impressed with what I see. Thinking about going back to the muffler shop and having it swapped out. Any input is appreciated. Thanks again.

The pics:

and on this last one, is that patch decent or should I get them to repipe it? Thanks.

It almost looks like the flow path from the heat in the muffler. Put some hi-temp spray paint on there to protect it.

Its just discoloration from the exhaust heat.

So nothing to fret about at this point? It was all black when I purchased it. Should I repaint it or just let it be? Thanks for the quick responses.

The paint would be extra protection. Exterior paint just prevents exterior corrosion. Mufflers not in salt areas would corrode from the inside out from the carbon and moisture over time, so it is up to you.

I think you will be alright, but you could paint it if you want to.
