They would help but you have a slowmaster on your truck so I would scrap that first.

Don't listen to him.....

unless your worried about 3 horsepower.

I couldn't tell if I got anymore power out of it but the sound change made it WELL worth the price!!

Magnaflow does produce High-flow Catalytic Converters... www.stylintrucks.com has them... and they are EPA & CARB approved...

Just had a 14" si/so Flopro 2.5 installed, replacing the stock muffler at a shop that's been in business since the late 70's. He said the factory cats on my 06 5.4 were high flow right from the factory, moreso than what companies such as Magnaflow advertise. Anyone else heard of this? He also mentioned all the Magnaflows are glorified glasspacks. He's obviously got a lot of experience and does a lot of street rods and custom exhaust setups. I met a guy there that said he's been going there for 20 years and has 12 restored vehicles in his garage, all done by this guy. It's Discount Muffler located in Spokane, WA.

It's funny what you hear from shop to shop, as I was at a custom truck accessory place say that you can't install a programmer with a CAI and an exhaust setup on these 3V motors without blowing them up eventually. I told the Discount Muffler guy that and he said he's never heard of such a thing. Ponderous what you can or can't find or what you can and can't believe often times.

You're wasting your money on high flow cats unless you're moving a lot of air through the engine. If you're running boost its worth considering unless your stock cats need to be changed out anyway.

The Magnaflows definitely flow better than stock. Looking inside of both its really easy to see. I have a feeling that guy at Discount Muffler sells or gets a higher markup on a different brand, that's why he doesn't recommend Magnaflow, or he's still stuck in the 1970s!

Its true about CAIs on these trucks. The MAF design causes that. Some CAIs are properly designed and flow tested and give correct MAF readings. Others cause the engine to run too lean lean.

It's worth the money just for sound improvement.

Well, you can get sound improvement for a whole lot less money. Cats cost more than an exhaust system.

Besides, it only proves you make noise. :-D Sound does not equal power, except in the eyes of ricers. Sound should only be an effective warning not to try to race you if you have something to back it up under the hood.
