So i decided to take of my tips(not realy fond of two silver shiney tips out the back) like the look of just the cut off pipe...old school.

man the truck was prolly 50% quiter...i could not believe that the tips would make that much of a difference...

So i put them back on.

Just shows how much tips add to the volume.

 

were they 4" tips? 3.5? that could make a difference as your piping is 2.5? if u have duals

 

Thats why tips are better, they echo the sound further away much better.

Roush tips are all 4x12, and 2.25" piping. The off-road kit tips are regular, the legal kits are resonated and double walled.
