Thanks!

You guys answered two questions. I will go with the X pipe and in regards to volume, I am content with one muffler I think. I prefer something that sounds powerful, but wont wake up the neighborhood LOL. It seems likes two mufflers would be a bit more expensive. Would it be retarded to have the x pipe and then terminate to a DI/DO muffler?

If you want it quiet, then you might want to keep it SIDO. True duals is meant for a higher level of performance and sound that a SIDO cannot achieve. If you are so inclined to have a quiet true dual exhaust then a stand alone X-pipe and a long inter X'ed muffler would do the trick.

Any recommended diameters? I have heard twin 2.25" are the way to go.
1. No you wont have PCM issues.

2. You could, but for the absolute best power its better to run a X pipe near where the original Y was, and dual mufflers.

3. In high rpm yes, but in low rpm and basic driving you may experience a minor loss of energy. 2.25" is better to run for low rpm.

If you mean an X pipe, and an internally X piped DI/DO, Yes, it will perform terribly. If your talking a basic DI/DO muffler it would be alright. Its beast to have an X pipe mounted as cose to the original Y as possible, not built into a muffler.

Malexander: it will be a little louder with dual mufflers as opposed to a single. if u want a magnaflow set up, i would do 1 of 3 mufflers. 14" oval, 14" round (magnapack) or 11". if your gonna do dual ull need an X pipe. it will be more expensive obviously than a single and without an X pipe.
The muffler is straight through (you can see straight through each side). They touch in the center of the muffler and act as an x-pipe. It is a DI/DO design but is the same as running two mufflers with an x-pipe.
