Exhaust tip opinions

So I picked up a corsa sport dual exhaust, and it comes with 4" round tips that look really sharp... but they're real stubby IMO.

Here's the pic from the corsa site:

So I was thinkin about gettin some longer tips to have welded on, I like the big angle cut style like I had on my old ranger:

Think I should go with somethin like a 4" x 18" angle cut tip? I really like the double walled style of the corsa tips, but they're just too short to the point where it looks funny on a truck, seems like it'd look kickass on a mustang or vette. Not sure if I like the rolled edge style I've seen on some other systems, what is all out there?

ya those would only look good if they were stuck together like a dual tip. lot of guys on here have 18 or 22" long tips comin out the side or out the back. no offense, but they look like a P head

A nice set of 4"x18" tips would look good. Magnaflow offers an excellent line.

You can always mount them like FX4LIFE did on his truck, dumped after the rear axle but still visible. I'm still debating on whether I should go that route.

Ya they're coming straight out the back as pictured on that black truck

I already had a guy ask about the tips, but after I get the kit on with my new tips I'll let you know if I still got em

I just put on 3.5x18. I like them. They provide a nice echo.
I was like you, ordered the kit. I couldn't stand how short the tips were.

The rolled tips looks pretty good I think, and I'd definatly go with at least 18" long. I got 18" tips and I kind wish I would have gotten 22" instead

Ok so I got 4x18 tips off summit and I am definately going to coat them black in some manner but need some opinions

I basically ruled out powdercoating, since they'll be welded on any touch ups wouldn't exactly be feasible, so I was talked into pickin up a can of engine block paint or some sort of ceramic paint

I was thinkin flat black cuz it'll hide all the little chips the exhaust will see and is easy to touch up. I also remember seeing something about 'black chrome' or some sort of candied black that shows up like a polished metal but can't figure out where I seen it. Good idea or completely off the wall?
