Also, skip the 3" kit and get the AutoSpring 2.5" leveling kit. A little less stress on the suspension and slightly better angles. Looks wise: 3" is too much with stock block in the rear......2.5" is good for a supercab like yourself. The earlier years of this body style (I think '04-'06 look great with the 2.5", but later than that the 2" is better. 2.5" on a newer truck like an '08 makes the rear too low looking. This is just my take on it, so do your research and order some parts.

On my vehicle, I have the Heartthrob exhaust that you mentioned. I like the way it performs and sounds. My only gripe is that the pipes and hangers obstruct the installation of an aftermarket rear sway bar.

Also, think about electric fans.

Well the order is ready to go- 2 weeks to Alberta. Slow up according to sales rep is the exhaust, i.e. assembly of parts. I asked to make the order separate but then i pay more in shipping.... Might see what i can find local for pipes.

So Wheels n rubber are next on the list. Currently I have some middle aged Toyo's on stock rims.. I did one of those online simulators for trying out rims n tires. Is it just me or is a small wheels to tire ratio the way to go? I'm in construction and need clearance/traction where i can get it... I'd get big wheels if i was lowering and hugin the beach but that isn't the case.... I want matte black 17" wheels and the biggest tires you can fit on stock suspension for all road condition... Please advice if you have time. I don't know jack diddley with rubber.

Appreciate all the advice. Has saved me a few headaches.

Cheers!

It depends slightly on the wheels you go with (width, backspacing), but a safe bet is 33" tires will fit with no rubbing if you have at least a 2" spacer. I know some guys run 35" tires with just spacers, but either have rubbing or have trimmed.

I have an '06 with 18" KMC matte black Monsters and Cooper 33" tires, with a 2" Autospring. Works and fits perfectly.
