Need to clarify

So I have a 2000 F150 with the 4 cats. I want to make my Flowmaster Super 44 just a bit louder and was thinking about removing one set of cats. What I want to know is which set do I remove. I did a search and read some threads saying to remove just the pre's and others saying that you will be fine removing the rears. I do know that my truck is different than the 2004's in that it has sensors after all four cats. I'm just wondering, is it safe to assume that I can remove either sets of cats? Would really appreciate comments from anyone with a 97-03 setup like mine and any pics if possible.

Thanks!

Your pre-cats can be removed, your rears migth be able to be removed without a CEL but no promises from me.
