Problems with magnaflow exhaust install
Has anyone else had this problem with their kit? I just got my SI/DO magnaflow exhaust kit and the inlet pipe isn't reaching or lining up. I called magnaflow and they wanted me to take pictures and email them.
x2 thats the best way to do it. Hopefully they will get it straightened out for you though.
yeah its the right kit. i've had shops build my exhaust before and was not happy with the quality. that's why i went with the cat-back. the inlet pipe in the install sheet looks different than the one that was shipped. i just wanted to see if anyone else encountered the same problem and if so, how they remedied it.

I'm not sure what hangers, or if you reuse the factory ones with a kit, but you might try making sure that none are reversed? I just did a muffler swap on my truck and reused factory hangers. I was having trouble getting the pipe lined up when I realized I had reversed a hanger. When I corrected it it all lined up perfect. Also you might try starting from the inltet end and working the way towards the back. That might reveal what else could be off?

Looks like the wrong pipe for the kit, or wrong kit. The pipe that comes with the f-150 kits is bent alittle in order to make up that difference. To see what I mean go to magnaflows website and under your truck / part number will be a pic of the kit and its pieces, you'll see the pipe I mean. Mine came with two, one long, and one short.
i talked to the dude at magnaflow and he is sending me a new inlet pipe (one for an extended cab). i'm pretty sure my install was fine because everything else back lines up fine. we'll see what happens, he seemed pretty baffled as well.
