I def agree with batn68 on this. I also pulled the starter and loosened the motor mount to lift the engine an inch. It took me a weekend because i kept taking a few breaks for some cold ones after i got stuck on something. Worth every bit of frustration you will go through!

Does anybody have a video with instructions? I'm not
A mechanic or a gearhead so I'm not good with all of this, but I want to learn. I have a set of long tube pacesetters, how long could I go with stock cats and muffler before I start to have problems? How long would it take to do it myself?

I would day I am very mechanically inclined and it took me all day.I would expect to take 2 days if you have never done anything like this. You will need to know how to weld to move the cats...or just drive it to a muffler shop with open headers...

#1 have a muffler shop picked out and coordinated with so you can roll in there and they'll be ready to cut up your stock mid pipes and mod them to fit the long tubes...

#2 have the 02 sensor extenders ready for the install, or else you will be having your truck towed to the muffler shop

You're kidding right? More like 30 hours tops haha

Fnkyfrsh, no one has a video that I know of, simply because it would be as long as all the Harry Potter movies one after another. This link is really helpful though, and pretty thorough. I'll be putting OBX's on in the coming weeks. You will have to have a shop or buddy weld all of it together. No idea how long your cats will last, people just seem to say that they fry. Your stock muffler with be fine for forever though.

Just a heads up, there are other things you may need to compile. 02 extenders/long 02's, locking header bolts are good to have, OEM ford gaskets are better than the ones the headers come with, locktite for the bolts is good as well. And make sure that you have a torque wrench for the header bolts, and some extenders and elbows for your sockets. I'm sure you know that you'll need 1 or 2 floor jacks and jack stands

there's no way a long tube install can take 30 hours, unless the inividual(s) conducting the install have NO idea what theya re doing or do a bunch of un needed work (ie dropping the starter, raising the motor etc)

30 was sarcasm, but he doesn't know what he's doing and I can guarantee his total time with be closer to 30 than it is 3. And guys that have done multiple long tube installs on 04-08s still take 5 or 6 hours. I half know what I'm doing haha and I'm planning on it being a 2 day project. Also, removing the starter is completely necessary as far as I can see, not 100% on whether undoing the motor mount and jacking the engine up is needed. I'll find out when I do it. But there are a ton of fidly BS things that have to be done along the way. Doing the install on your trucks is supposed to be a little easier though.
