Long tubes ordered!

Couldn't stand it anymore after reading how much these trucks wake up with long tubes, so I ordered a set today. Found the Pacesetters for $246. Now to set the installation date at my buddys shop...

Sounds good but $246??? You better be putting some ceramic coating on that yourself or those tubes won't last long.

Unfortunately, those are the only long tubes available to us 4.6L guys.

IIRC, I paid pretty close to that for my ceramic Pacesetters. Keep us posted, OP! Can't wait to hear it!

Thought the 5.4 2v headers from the 97-03 would work also on the 04+ 4.6 2v.......same heads only the 5.4 2v header will be an inch lower due to the reduced deck height of the 4.6......imo

Congrats. You will love them! Might consider some header wrap. It will help from the heat building up and from the elements wearing them down. Cant wait to hear them!

I thought so too. I emailed OBX about it but never heard back.

it will also trap moisture causing them to rust out even faster

Depends on where you live. In Texas I would prefer to have 11 months where heat doesnt kill my AIT's and have the possibility of speeding up the life of my long tubes a few months over a span of a few years. Worth it to me.

Any news on how those headers have worked out for you? I have given up on OBX. I have tried their email inquiry on their website at least 3 times. I still have had no response with regards to the 99-03 5.4, 2v headers working on my 04, 4.6 2v. If their CS is so poor that they cannot answer emails, I don't want to buy from them regardless how good of a product they sell.
