From what I have read, it depends on the winter in your area. Some have lasted a few years and others 1-2 years. I would strongly reccomend some sort of rust-proofing, maybe a rustoleum type coating or high heat protection coating. I would try to get the stainless if I were you just for a bit of extra protection, however, the 409 stainless I believe will still get some surface rust. For 20 dollars more, I think the ss is the way to go if you go with Flowmaster

I would get a shorter Magnaflow, Magnapacks or Dynomax Race Bullets if you want loud.

But if you're stuck on Flows then I agree with the rest... and definitely stainless. I installed a 40 series delta flow on my Dad's truck and it rusted out in two years.

It would be best. No larger than 2.5

Never H pipe, and internally X piped mufflers dont perform as well as real X pipes mounted where the original Y pipes are.

gotcha. Well I think ima trash the flowmaster idea and go with the 94006 cats, a x pipe, and run 2.5" to 2 14" Magnaflows ( I just gotta buy 1 more) and then to 4 inch tips. Hopefully it will be loud enough.
