Scrap yard metal pricing down.

Called several scrap yards today. I wanted to see how much I could get for my 07 Cat's. I want high flows, but would like a better refund from old cats to offset the cost. They all told me $10 and to hold onto them until the metal prices increase. I guess I will just have to wait a little longer.

Hold off for awhile, you wont get too much back. I waited until the prices dropped to pull out my rear cats, wishing I had done so sooner.

You prolly won't get much more for them even if the price of the metals goes up. Now if you had cats from a pre-04 truck you could still get some decent $. The older trucks used more precious metals in the cats which = more $ from the scrap dealer. I got $200 for my cats off of my 97 last summer.

ford cats wont get you as much as imports will. When the price of platinum goes up so do cats. imports have more platinum in them.

Yea, your probably right. I currently have the Roush OR with about 2,000 miles. I think I want a little more sound. I'm used to have a Mach 1 with high flows and borla stingers. It was crazey loud, but still sounded good. I think if I can get about 3/4 the sound level, it would be perfect. I wish somebody would post their soundclip of Roush OR with High flow cats.
