I think the "kits" are just over priced mainly for the logo on the tips. Like the other guys said...get a muffler(Flowmaster 44 from performance peddler $63)...get some tips (3 1/2 x18 SS from CRW parts $40ish)...go to a shop(pipes and labor $100ish)...and be happy

Thanks everyone. I crawled under the truck the other day and I don't see any bushings on the driver's side where exhaust hangers would attach. Someone told me all newer model vehicles have them on both sides. Is he incorrect or am I blind?

Thank you, I thought I was missing something.

So, I think I'm going to follow everyones advice and order the muffler and tips online. I've decided on Magnaflow, but I don't know exactly what muffler or tips to get. I've been on Magnaflows website alot and don't know what type of muffler I should be looking at. I really like the sound of Darren's truck on here, but he has alot more than I'm planning on.

I definitely like larger tips like the 3.5 or 4 inch.

Any suggestions on a muffler and/or tips? And what site to purchase from for the best price.

Never buy a cat back, unless of course it's the Roush Off Road.

has the super 40. Never buy a kit though.
Thats new to me. I've never seen that before. Though I tend not to deal with Flowmaster products. Atleast they're putting their 2 chambers in our quiet trucks with their quiet cats

I have a Flowmaster super 44 si/do, dumped before the rear axle. i orignally had straight out the back, but it did not look right (i made the mistake of buying the kit), then i had slanted pipes out the rear (like darren's), now its dumped.
I couldnt be any happier with my setup.. im considering getting a super 40 (want it louder!haha)
