Have a Flowmaster muffler installed to replace the Cherrybomb.

X2..... or just replace that Cherrybomb muffler with Cherrybomb glasspacks. It will be only slightly quieter than straight pipes. If you want it to be louder and yet still very tolerable on the highway go with DarrenWS6's reccommendation.

With the 4 cats, I doubt you will notice much of a difference going to glasspacks. I'm not 100% b/c you have an 04. But on my 02, I took off stock muffler, and put on glasspack and dumped it. You can hear it on start up, but thats about it. You can slightly, and I mean slightly hear it at idle. I have to goose it to hear it on acceleration. Only time I really hear it on my way to work, is when I go up a hill.
It is seriously no where near as loud as I thought it would be. I am still running 4 cats though, so that isn't helping.

I believe what you are looking for is loud and throaty. That means the biggest flow-through muffler you can find.

Look no further than the straight-through Magnaflow 14588. SI/DO and is nearly 2' long and 1' wide. Or you can go with 2 14576 SI/SO and get really throaty. It will literally make the entire truck sound like an old muscle car.

Wow you are exactly wrong, it is the opposite. The smaller the muffler the louder it is. I would suggest 10 series flow, cherrybomb extreme, dynomax bullet or straights. Mine only came with 2 cats, it is very very loud.

The best thing you can do is find a shop that will cut out the 4 OEM cats and add 2 hi-flow cats. Unless you do that, your friends will keep laughing at you.

On 4 stock cats you will not impress anyone with Magnaflow. If you really wanna hear it and cant get your cats worked on, stick with the chambered mufflers.

Loud is relative. Do you want barky, obnoxious midrange or throaty resonance?

You can hear my exhaust from a 1/4 mile away and it is not retarded loud. How far can you hear yours?

Chambered mufflers quiet the sound. Straight through mufflers are the only way to get true sound out.

a 2' x 1' maggie is not loud by anyone's standard, you can hear mine from over a mile when I get on it.
