Aluminized or stainless steel piping (Magnaflow)

Went to my local muffler shop today to research magnaflow muffler. The shop had one 18" long with 2 1/4" alumininzed piping with 3 1/2" tips $289.00 to installed. Is this a go deal and does the piping material makes a different?

If you put your truck through salty roads in winters yes. Aluminized will rust and rot out. Stainless is much better, will last forever.

I'd prefer to go with the stainless, but a local shop wanted to charge me $400.....and that's WITHOUT the Mag muffler and stainless tip!!

I'm going to have to just keep looking.....because as Darren said, stainless will last forever.
