ok. i had my 08 f150 5.4L exhaust re-done, to be true dual with an x-pipe.(no muffler) and 3.5"x18" tips. it sounds alright but, i was hopeing for some more volume with it. my question is... is the only way to make it louder putting high flow cats on?? or is there another way? thanks in advance everyone

 

I'm in the same boat as you, but yeah Hi flow cats, or Longtube headers is all you can do.

my 98 f150 4.6L wasnt even true dual and it was twice as loud as this truck

Yeah, Anything cats or headers will void that specific part of your warranty, but you could check with your local dealer to be sure.

Not to ruin your day, but I'm out of warranty, some hi flows and possibly Long Tube headers are very likely in my near future.
