Guess you didn't look hard enough cause I have a thread that was devoted for just that. JK, this search option on here is horrible, I typed in headers the other day and it came up with nothing, lame. Here is the thread.

Always sounds good to work with a custom bent system, but I can tell you of many disasters...

I have read that thread, and others with a side exit like the magnaflow 16616.

However, I am mainly interested in the spacing and size of the actual Roush Side-Exit system. Side exit kits look weird to me if they hang too low or the tips are too small like on that custom system there.

To be honest i've never really even seen anyone on here buy the Roush Off-Road side exit kit. Everyone gets the out the back kit. Theres a black Roush truck on here here with it but I think its the Legal version, though the tips are almost the same. Just a half inch smaller and double walled for resonation.

if you go with the side exit , you really need to get the skirting kit or it doesnt look right IMO.

with this kit , there is no custom bending etc. very straight forward and easy install.

most of the tips are hidden with this kit as you can see.

Just remember, if your truck is 4x4 and youy really use it as a 4x4, the tips will get destroyed really quick if you do side exits behind the wheel. Maybe that why you see most big trucks coming straight out the back...Its a shame to waste 150$ worth of tips the first time you go offroading. But it sure does look good out the side....

Ah comon, you're not a real enthusiast unless you redo things like 5x

lol damn, the one guy who has it has skirts too. That looks great though.

So did you originally have the side exit without the skirts? I think it should still look pretty solid. I'm trying to imagine it without the skirts lol.

I knew I had to have a pic somewhere.

IMO it just didnt look right, not that it looked bad, just not complete you see to much of the pipes when you stood back like 10 feet.

heres a little tip to save you some cash if your going to be buying Roush parts, signup for a membership at the ROEA - Roush Owners and Enthusiasts Association its $25.00 a yr.

you get a 10% rebate from Roush. When you buy parts or accessories from a authorized dealer.

One I have seen mentioned on this forum is i think woodhouse. I have never purchased from them , i mostly deal with Bill or Ethan at Stage 3 motorsports, hillbank, or Jason at 281 motorsports. They will give you a great price to start with then get 10% back.

Awesome. That's what I've been looking for, thanks mang. I think this is the route I will probably go. I will see how my rig looks with wheels/tires/grille after this weekend and make a determination from there. Pics to come.

I personally don't think it looks that bad from the pics. I plan on putting the side exit on my new 08 cause I think the rear exit is played out. My preferred setup is no pipes showing at all and making my own as I did on my 05. On a 4X4 it probably looks different from the small lift they have over the stock but my stock 08 should be ok. I do agree about the skirt looking better but I'll probably never do it.
