2 Quick exhaust questions!

okay so I have an appointment Friday to get my exhaust done on my 03 5.4L screw Fx4.....here are the last questions that I have

I am going to be installing a 14" magnaflow 3" in and 2.5 in duals out with duals!

1. is the stock pipe going into the oem muffler 2.5"? if so should I get that changed to 3"?
2. I am going to be having the dual 2.5" pipes running out behind each rear tire.....I want to just be able to see the tip of the exit tips, but what size should the exhaust tips be? 3.5" is what I am thinking!

thanks in advance!

Sounds like a good plan.

Yes stock intermediate pipe is 2.5" If I were you I would have it 3" from the Y for best flow and high remaining velocity to keep low end strong.

3.5" tips will definitely be fine. If I may also suggest, make sure your tips are 18" long. I have 4"x18" tips 45'd behind the wheels on my truck, absolutely love them.
