I want my torque back!!!

Ok now I'm new to this exhaust thing. The most I've done to a truck is taken it to a shop and had flows installed.

I bought an 06 with the 5.4, and right now I've just got the muffler disconnected. Most people think it sounds okay, but to me it sounds like ****. Too raspy. So I've decided to go with magnaflows. Will true duals give me my torque back? or am I going to have to run an X pipe? Any advice about any part of the exhaust system is appreciated.

And people wonder why I say muffler removal is bad.

A single exhaust will perform better than a true dual exhaust does unless there are performance modifications to back it up ( intake, hi-flow cats, longtubes, custom tuning.. )

True duals sound sweet, I sure enjoy the sound of mine.
