14" SI/DO Magnaflow

 

I love the way it sounds and I wonder how it would sound SISO.

 

I think I read somewere on here the SI/SO are a little louder.

 

yeah i loved the sound of yours so i went with high flows. but didnt get that deep tone you have with my flowmaster

 

I'm not too concerned with having it be louder or even a tad quiter. It's more or less I want that tone. It seems everyone that has a loud exhaust sounds like crap to me. I have a single setup now and I like it. I think it sounds great, however sometimes I wish it was louder. Problem is, I don't like the way most of the louder trucks sound so I'm reluctant to go to a different muffler. I often think about changing it out to a SISO Borla ProXS but haven't heard one yet on a 5.4 2v and I'm not sure I want to be the guinea pig.

 

I agree that some of them just don't sound good at all. I'm happy with the sound of mine and yes sometimes I wish the tone was a little deeper. If you like the way your truck sounds now then putting the highflows on will keep the same sound just make it louder. My next muffler, I think I'm going to try the Magnaflow bullet style. I hate trying something first that cost so much money like that Borla system.

 

I have high flows. I have long tubes, high flows, and a 22" magnaflow. I thought about even dropping down to the 18". I don't know. Just ideas I'm kicking around. I may just stay with what I have rather than mess up something that's pretty good already just to make it a little better.
