Actually using a program called HP Tuners that is big in the GM world w/ the Vette and F-body guys. All laptop driven tuning and you can adjust anything. It's been richened up a bit but will get the Gryphon soon.

I do get the drone yes. I drove it today about 200 miles for work and when in O/D and needing to give it a little gas to go up a hill, it definitely drones until it downshifts. I've been told the Gryphon would solve all that so we'll see.

I have one question. What has your economy been like with the CAI? Has it inproved or worsened? A majority of people I know state that it worsens which aids me from buying one, but If I was to buy a CAI it would certainly be the S&B.

And one more question, how much has your exhaust note changed inside & out? Would you say it gives stronger sound pulses at idle and deeper toned during low rpm?

I've installed the Roush Off Road in combination with this CAI and did just a week or so after I bought the S&B. If you search by my name or Roush Off Road you will see the thread I made about that.

The mileage has not changed at all on the highway. I haven't noticed much of a difference at all on the highway. The city mileage has gone down a little bit, but partially because you want to use the loud pedal a little more often with the noise you get out of the S&B and Roush.

I have a ScanGauge II in the truck and it shows very little change in the mileage.

I do have the "S&B drone" at about 1700-1900 RPM in overdrive when putting a load on the motor before it downshifts. That is pretty much a given with this intake and some of the others. With cruise control on and going up a hill or incline on the freeway you will notice it. But not much else otherwise.

Cruising you can't hear the exhaust or intake. It's very quiet going down the road and the only noise I really hear is the tires. ProComp Extreme MT's make some noise
