hello all. i am curious on what you guys have done to make your trucks loud. i have an 08 f150 5.4L, and it aint loud enough. i took out the muffler and install y-pipe. my truck has 2 stock cats, i think its all the 06-08s that come factory with 2 instead of 4. What is there to do? and i dont want my CEL to come on.

run true duals first off. And if that's not loud enough get hi flow cats. Then if that's not loud enough get Long Tube headers, and if thats still not loud enough, buy something else haha

'04s - '08s all sound the same, though the 4 cat systems in '04 and early model '05s made them a tiny bit quieter

My exhaust is pretty loud, its up there with the Flowmasters and some straights out there.

For loud, I would say get hi-flow converters, and maybe a Dynomax Bullet muffler.

Mine is as loud as you can go without changing cats or adding headers, I love the way it sounds and I lost no power.
BTW mine was made late in 05 so it only has 2 factory cats.

4 inch Diesel Duals sound pretty good on this F150 and they seem loud but no cackling or pops like a regular strait pipe.

I doubt it would be a bolt on however.

If you want it louder try running true duals with an equalizer pipe, a muffler delete is no where near as loud.

I'm probably going to go ahead and say I have the loudest on the 04-08. I have true dual straight pipes with 2.5 inch piping that are turn down right before my rear axel and 2 magnaflow hi flow cats instead of any stock cats. In my video clip I am barely reving it and u can hear how loud it already is. My clip is in my sig.
