Hey Yall..

Been reading a lot of posts regarding exhaust and mufflers etc.. i am wanting to beef up the stock system without burning a hole in my close to empty pockets..

I would like to do it myself if possible..I have taken a few peaks underneath and it looks like the easiest way to go is a muffler or straight pipe from the y pipe back..


any suggestions?

Again, I am not looking to shell out big bucks. Just want to make some noise. Performance and torque aren't crucial to m..

If all your looking for is a better sound for cheap I think you answered your own question.

The loudest is to remove muffler and put in straight pipe.
Next loudest would be to add a Dynomax Bullet muffler.
Next a Magnaflow or a Dynomax Ultraflow.

 

I vote for the dynomax bullet. It gave me a good sound and was only 25 dollars.

How are Flowtech mufflers? I was looking at the afterburner for around $50..It looks like I can bolt it on where the existing muffler is..

Should I have any problems with hangers? Routing tailpipe out the passenger side in front of rear tire? Any better suggestions?

Straight pipe would make the most noise. You will need one with a bend to meet the offset though. Stock muffler is offet inlet to the right, tailpipes are offset outlet to the left.
