On a stock truck you will lose power with duals man and even more with flowmasters. Get a SI/SI straight through designed muffler with 2.5'' to 3'' pipe coming off the muffler. What engine do you have?

with a X pipe or H pipe, you will not lose any torque on a stock truck.

With the X, you will not gain or lose any down low, but you will see good gains in the higher rpms.

The H pipe will net your gains down low and the sound will be deeper.

in all honesty its not worth the money or the hastle, you will have a noticeable gain but certainly not worth it IMO, you could always do a hi-flow cat and that would be more worth the money

hey man if you dont give a crap about power gains or loss then go ahead with the true dual super 44 havent you taked about this for a while now lol you wont notcie THAT much of a power loss if you go to a true dual set up, but the sound level will be the reward the x pipe will tone it down a little tho then if you take the 4 cats off and put 2 hi flow 94106 like mine are you'll be on top of your game then,

haha lol sorry kinda late for me

the true duals should have a better tone/sound and maybe a little louder, if he adds hi flow converters then he will be happy with the choice of true duals

The only sound difference you will hear is each side will give a different exhaust tone at a different time due to engine cam revolutions. It will be the same level of loudness, at mid rpm, probably the same at WOT, and it will be quieter at idle and low rpm. If I were you, I would keep the SI/DO so you do not lose performance. If sound > performance to you, and possibly a very minimal mpg loss, then go for it. I gained mpg, but thats because my true duals are un-restricted, no rear cats & direct flow mufflers. In your case, you wont be so lucky, but it will sound cool..

You will need offset inlets & centered outlets for best fitments for the pipe guidings. Part # 942546 to be exact ( 2.5" Super 44s )

I'm running true duals right now, without an X pipe. I'll tell you this. GET THE X PIPE!

Without an X yeah, but your performance may suffer a little.
