Which magnaflow set up?

I just finished installing some full length pacesetters on my 97 4.6 4x4. Now I need to finish the rest (our at least my muffler man will). I was leaning on the maggy with a built in x pipe, #14468, or going with their x pipe then into two maggy's. The 14468 will save me about $100 versus the other set up. Will the power be just as compareable as running a traditional x pipe to two mufflers? Any one running this set up? Also I won't be having any cats.

Does anyone have any discount codes for hottexhaust.com?

Running just the single muffler with the built in x-pipe will be loud as *****, the one with dual mufflers will still be pretty loud but bearable. That's the main difference.

The DI/DO will be good and loud, but the SI/SO mufflers will rumble a hell of alot better, sound much more aggressive but will take atleast 4,000 - 6,000 to fully break in, vs the 3,000 for the DI/DO to my guessing.

my truck has the #14468 magnaflow muffler on it and to me its the perfect sound not to raspy but lound enough too, it also has magnaflow highflow cats so that helps some with it being lounder! I`ve got a sound clip but its hard to tell how exhaust sounds on camera, its way better in person

the main difference is using a separate x pipe as close to you collectors as possible, for better scavenging and tq retention, you lose too much by the x being in the muffler farther back from your cylinders

If I do the 14468, it will be right where the original y pipe was. That is the only place to put it, either way I go.
