True Duals Question
True Duals Question
I recently bought a truck that has no muffler and y-pipe dual exhaust. I have to say I love the sound, but was wondering if I would gain anything by going true duals? The interior noise is bearable at highway speeds, but tends to get a little anoying in the city with the radio off. I was wondering if true duals with a glasspack on each pipe would help interior noise at all, and if it would be okay to run true duals with no h-pipe/x-pipe.
These are the glasspacks I was thinking about:

darren,next time i head east,i'm gonna let you drive my van and look at the look on your face after you experience the low end grunt of my 5.4,you'll think differently about that comment,even with my tuner out of the van, compared to my other 7 i own, low end tq in my personal one blows them away!

h=more for sound
x-better for low end tq and scavenging,tones sound down some
best to have x as close to the cylinders[original y location as possible]having it in the muffler farther back does not favor you velocity pressure and total pressure.
darren,i don't mind spending money for performance if the gain is worth it,my van is my work horse-with a tank of gas ,me in it, and my material and tools~9k lbs, i use it to tow my mx race trailer every weekend-5000-5500~,if my torque didn't go up, let alone be worse than with the siso oem, the siso would have been on in a heartbeat, money isn't the issue with me, results are...
