New exhaust. Help!!

I have an '04 Lariat Supercrew. Its all stock so far but im looking to put new exhaust on it. Wanting to spend around the 350-400 range. I just want to make it the loudest I can possibly in that price range. Any suggestions?

An experienced local exhaust shop will be able to install any muffler you want and bend the pipes to fit. Now the real question is do you really want just a loud exhaust? Or do you want that exhaust to perform? In the $300-$400 range, there are a lot of options.

I have the magnaflow dual pictured above. I love it. Good volume.

I want it loud but performance would be a big plus. Any specific models I should look for?

i noticed a nice gain in responsiveness when I added the magnaflow exhaust and a K&N air intake. I don't know if you can expect better gains from a different brand. Some of the websites have HP gains they measured on a dyno. That might be your best bet, just do a little research.

Thanks. How much did you pay for the intake and the exhaust together?

I think I paid $800 for the exhaust and intake. I got them from autoanything.com

if you want loud go with something other than a maganaflow like a flowmaster 44 or dynomax bullet just get it dumped and throw some magnaflow hi flow cats #94106 and that will be loud

I too am looking to have a new custom exhaust put on, I want the flowmaster sound, but from what I have gathered here that you loose performance with the flowmaster, and the magnaflows are better for performance. Is this true?

Put a Dynomax Bullet in or Flowmaster 10 series. Most affordable method. Buy two of those mufflers and run true duals with an X pipe, and nice big 4" tips, $350 - $400 depending on the shop.

I just bought flowmaster 50 series delta flow, witch are not as loud as 40 series but has the deep sound on the outside and harley any noise on the inside. If you look at flowmasters chart the outside noise is almost the same but inside in lower. I bought the muffler on jegs.com for 112 shiped and local shop charging 275 to install and run pipes.

Why would you recommend a 50 series delta to someone who asked about the loudest system he could afford? The 50 series are quiet on any vehicle, on one of these trucks it would almost be a waste of money for the amount of sound added.

Its not as quiet as you think. They sound really nice on my truck 08 lariat f150 , have a friend who has same on fx4. OUt side is nice deep sound and inside is nice not to loud. The muffler shop i went to only had 40 series at the shop and i bought 50 series online had him install it and even he was really impressed with it. Just putting my 2 cents in , so dont get bent out of shape about it.
