What aftermarket duels keep the spare tire?
I know that the roush system keeps the spare tire but I was wondering if there were any other catback systems that don't require the spare to be dropped?
I don't really want a custom setup because I don't really trust any local shops around here. I had 2 custom systems put on other vehicles and both systems had problems with the tailpipes rubbing on either a leaf, etc.
Either way, I want catback duels that sounds nice and throaty (not raspy or tinny) like a truck should and keeps the spare, any advice?

I didn't have to mess with my spare, for my true dual Magnaflows. They sound great too. Deep and throaty like you mentioned.... but not that loud. Wish I could get high flow cats. I've heard that makes a BIG difference, but not legal in Cal :-( I might eventually get a CAI.

Are your true duals custom or does magnaflow make a system like that?
Also, I don't know about corsa or edelbrock. Are those good systems for sound and power? I also looked into flowmaster but I heard that they gain alittle hp but loose alittle tq (can't afford that when pulling a trailer), and I heard that you have to loose your spare.

In years I haven't heard if issues with aftermarket dual exhaust conflicts with spares. I think WelfareWagon had issues melting a spare a while back, but thats about it. I've run Magnaflow, Roush, and now MBRP with no issues. Decide what you like based on sound and looks, and then as around or call the manufacturers reps for their input. You'll get better input here, though, and more realistic based upon experience.

Every cat-back should. They cant sell it if it will conflict with the spare or anything else, as long as the cab size and bed size are correct, you will be good. The thickest tailpipes can be is 2.5" to not conflict the spare.
Agreed, most any system should allow for a spare.... If you're really worried, take your truck to a shop and have them custom bend an exhaust for you. That's what I did...

Don't know if you decided what you want to do but the Flowmaster kit on my 97 is a dual out muffler (fake dual) that goes around the spare and exits on each side of the bed under the little plastic trim piece on the lower rear quarter.
I like the sound alot and it even crackles if you catch the RPMs just right when it shifts (Or bounce it off the limiter).

Sorry, almost missed your question.....
But yes, my dual Magnaflows were a custom install.
Again, they sound great... but not very loud. Sometimes that's better.... but sometimes I wish it were louder. I need an on/off button for loudness :-) LOL
