My True Dual Exhaust (With Pics)

Hey all,

I got this put on a couple months ago, just never got around to taking any pics until this weekend. Anyways, its a true dual system done by Henry's Mufflers in Raleigh NC.

This is a pic of the drivers side where the pipe crosses over to the passenger side...

Here is the passenger side Cat and the pipe coming from the drivers side...

Here's a shot of the pipes going into the X-pipe an into 2 SISO Flowmaster 40's...

Here they exit and go out to the rear of the truck...

Nice work. What size tube? And why did they put the x so far back. Closer to the manifolds is better.

Hey all..

2001Screw4x4: I believe we went with 2 ¼" tubes. As for the location of the x-pipe, thats just the way the guy doing the install found room for it... I suppose it could be moved a couple feet towards the front of the truck, near where the tubes come together in the 2nd pic, but I don't know if it would be worth the trouble of moving it.

DeathMetalTruck: Believe it or not I paid $275 for the whole package, installed, mufflers included. Was supposed to be $375 but i hung out with the guy in the shop while he worked on my truck so I'm not sure if he was hooking me up, or just fudged up by charging me less...

Yeah man it was a great deal! The pipes are crimp bent, not mandrel, but for $275 who cares! It sounds great and with the new intake the engine has to be breathing better than with the old stock stuff.

82ndABN_13FOX:

To get a signature you need to log in, and click on the "User CP" button under the formum header. Once there, on the left side of the screen is the control panel with "Settings & Options". In there is the "Edit Signature" option. Click that, then put whatever you want in there and the next time you post, at the bottom of the post page be sure to select "Show your signature" under Additional Options. Hope that helps!

Awesome looking system man, does it sound twice as loud & twice as deep as a SIDO? I plan to get whats on my '99 F250, Flowmaster American Thunder SIDO but with straight exiting 4" tips, F250 has Side Exit, but i've been considering doing the true dual with the American Thunder 50 series
