my buddy put 5 inch stacks in his 06 2500 cummins, long story short, the plastic tool box slid foward at some point and caught fire about a 1/2 mile from his shop, he stomped the accel. pedal to get there to put out fire, well he fueled the fire, blew out back window, interior started, he had burns on his legs and neck and stuff but got back to shop put out fire. insurance totalled the truck! so imo stacks are bad, well maybe plastic toolboxes are, lol, he is luck enough that he could switch all his mods to his new truck before they hauled the old one away.

Damn! Sounds like if people get stacks, unless the bottoms are guarded, you will probably have to worry about your stuff catching a blaze.

My friend has 7" stacks on his F350 and they are pretty sweet...although I think it would look a bit cheesy on a 150. He also has the diamond plate box you can buy which protects them and seals them off from anything else in the bed. That is a def recommend to protect against fire/damage etc.

I don't think I've seen a '97-'03 with stacks.
Hillbilly deluxe from Dribone or hawker, truck is sweet as all hell now with that wicked digital paint job and shaved everything!
