Smoke Stacks or Underbody Exhaust

I want duals... but I don't want them to be out the back of the truck.

I'd prefer them to either be where the stock exhaust is, like two separate pipes. Or underneath the truck coming right off the muffler, basically no tail pipe.

Or I was thinking small chrome stacks out of my bed. Nothing bigger than like 2" or 3"... But I don't know how it'd look on a F150. I think in some aspect it would look quite neat... but contrary, it isn't a diesel. However, I've seen a couple v8's and v10's with stacks. My friends think it wouldn't look too bad -- if done right-- and I mean done right as in, no 5" smoke stacks because it would be totally pointless. I think even 3" is pointless... but I have a feeling that's about as small as I can go. I haven't really checked into it much.

As far as a muffler, if I were to do anything, I'd do a Flowmaster 50 series SI/SI on each bank. I don't want drone since it is my daily driver. I just want to get rid of the suitcase muffler.

So... you want stacks on a single muffler? ok...

Well first off, stacks on a gas engine, umm no. Not a goosd look, sound, or healthy system. A si/so muffler needs to be a single system or true dualed with another si/so.

Get a single exhaust with a single exit, or dual outlet muffler, run it dumped if its a single out, run it out the right side infront of the tire if its dual outlet if you dont wish for a dual out the back look.

Personally, I don't like stacks period. However, everyone likes something different. I think a Lightning style exhaust looks best.

i have a dumped exhaust too, 14" magnaflow. flowmasters are known for droning so if you dont want that drone, dont get them. if you dont want it as loud, go with an 18 or 22 inch magnaflow. i think those are the sizes.

Snacks rule. I personally love them, so does my daughter and just about everyone else that I know of.... Oh, you want stacks, not snacks Get snacks, instead of stacks. It will be better for your ego. Stacks will get you laughed at

So are you calling me a minority?

Just watch, eventually he will get flamed. He is asking if people should get stacks... It will become an Aggie bonfire, with Manuel in the middle

I wouldn't do stacks unless it was a diesel and I don't think any shops will do it, but if you absolutely have to have them, then have at it.
