4.2 True Duals?
Comparing my F150 V6 to a ranger v6 power, is not a good comparison, especially if its an auto. I could beat v8's before i put my tires & lift on & can smoke any ranger with my 33" tires and lift any day. The reason im going with the SI/DO is because exhaust and maybe headers will probably be the last thing ill add to my truck. And unless i add a S/C or turbo, true dual exhaust is prally not worth it, but thanks for the info.
At least say to hell with the headers. Get a tuner. My headers didn't do **** but make my truck sound slightly deeper, but when you only pay $175 for NIB Gibson headers you cant complain.
Listen to this. This is about the best sound you will get out of a si/so. Its an Aero Turbine 2525 muffler. Its about $125, but sounds better than all si/so's on the V6.

I always though that a tuner would'nt make that much of a difference because i have a manual, auto drivers always say how it increased their rpm shifting but i dont have that problem. A tuner is expensive and i dont really know much about them except that it raises rpm and if thats the major change its not really worth it for me. As for the exhaust i want my tips to come out from both sides infront of the rear wheels so ill definately look into the Aero turbine muffler with a y pipe after it. since i have'nt seen kits like that for our trucks it probably has to be custom.
Thats the thing i dont want to buy something that wont do anything for me. Im not saying that shorty headers add more power than a programmer, from what i have read shorties dont do much at all. Thats why i said i might get them.I just have'nt heard what kind of gains a manual truck has gained from a programmer, ive asked this question here before many times and i get no answeres, so ill head over to v6f150.com and see what the member there say.
