Sounds real good man! Alot like my truck. My exhaust will make that rumblish pop on start up and certain rpm levels. Mine doesn't pop unless really reved up, 5,000rpms or so. Once the rock wool within the muffler burns out some, it will be sounding real good, and wont pop.

Thanks man, i'm loving it so far!

I wish it lit up more when i rev while in park though (for showing purposes), as sometimes i'll rev but i just hear the engine, and other times i'll here the Maggies (unless i'm not doing it right, but i dont see how i could be doing it wrong lol). When i'm in gear driving and hit the gas it can be heard though, and at certain rpms it's almost like a deep vwoom vibration type of tone until i get on it even more then it rumbles.

Yeah thats normal, driving always sounds better than the reving, though in my case oddly I think its the exact opposite, listening to the video of my truck with my surround sound system, my fly by videos are pretty blaa. But the reving on my first posted video in my sig sounds sweet as hell

Put 1,000 miles on it and it will sound better, once you have atleast 6,000 it will be 100% broken in

And hey, if a muffler system isn't loud enough, experiment with some hi-flow cats!

HAHA Darren The Rockwool wont burnout or blow out. What will happen is the oils and the gases will get into that material and it will form a hard substance. In which that muffler will get a little louder.

What exactly would hi flow cats do vs the stock cats? I can safely assume flow better, but what affects would that have...better sound, more throaty/rumble, better performance, etc etc? And i my truck only has 2 stock cats, would it be illegal for me to switch them out, or cause any issue's such as check engine light, or warranty issues?

Hi-flow cats would volume it up much more, flow better therefore increasing mpg and low, mid, and high end power. Replacing your stock cats with hi-flows would be a good idea if your willing to have the work done and have a local shop that will do the work. It may be if you have emissions but may not, you will have to ask your local shops. Your warranty wont be entirely voided, but they will not cover exhaust, which is no real big deal because your already changed half of it already.

Ahhh i see....i want some!!!
I guess it's time to look at which Magnaflow Hi-Flow Cats i'll get. All though i'll talk to some shops first to make sure it's something i can do, because we do have emissions up here in NH.

If you are at all able to have hi-flow converters installed, 94106, 94006, and 94306 will be the best replacements for you. Your rear O2 sensors will simply need re-mounted after the cats to operate correctly. And you will be either as equally loud, or louder than my truck.

High Flow Cats Flow About 40% Better Over Stock. The Cell Count in our Ceramic Cats are 400 Cell PSI and Stock is 600 to 700 Cells PSI. So the smaller the cell count the better the flow.

High Flow Cats

Ok, well as i've said already i'm loving the Magnaflow SI/DO setup so far. A cold start up is amazing, and when i'm driving and give it some gas its awesome as well. Even if i'm just lightly pushing the gas cruising down the street it rumbles pretty nicely. And it's not even broken in yet so i can't wait for it to get a bit louder.

But.......

What i feel it's lacking is some rumble when i'm stopped, at a stop light, in traffic, etc. I mean i can here it very slightly when i'm stopped, but not as much as i would like, and i'd like other people to hear it a bit as well.... Of course when i give it gas it roars which is nice though.

Also, warm starts seem to lack a bit. A cold start is amazing as i said above, you can really hear it pretty good until my idle drops. But a warm start leave's a bit to be desired, maybe thats just because my truck idles low around 520 rpms? Not sure.

Would High Flow Cats help with those two above things at all?
Either way i still love this setup, it rocks!!!

Hi-flow cats should increase the low idle sound a bit more. Thats Magnaflows nature to be real quiet at low rpm. I hate it but my warm idle isn't too bad, can still hear the engine and fan under the hood more though. Hi-Flow cats will flow better than OEM, increasing your gas mileage and sound at any rpm.
