cutting the intake

What year truck is it.
There are mods for the older body style truck.....2004 and older. You can find those on this forum or on the net.

If it's a 2005 thru 08 then I don't know that I would be cutting the intake. You won't feel any preformance gains and probably won't see a noticeable increase in your gass milage either. It will also weaken the tube and could start moving around the engine compartment....not to mention that it will also start sucking in hot air from the engine as opposed to the cooler outside air that it is pulling now.

I suggest not trying to work on or modify your truck if you can't tell what an intake is...

The gas cap is on the driver side put 87 octane in there do not add oil here. The engine oil is under the hood on the passenger side take the cap off and put oil here do not add gas Good luck buddy
