Going to get prices tomorrow. Im selling a few items so that i can get a SI/DO Flowmaster super 44. What ballpark range am i looking at to have this installed(parts and labor). Just asking so i dont get F'd. Im running a SISO 40 series right now but i know im not gonna be happy until i have the dual exit so....
ask your local auto shop that does catback systems if they can get a set of prebent pipes. if they cant then get just a muffler and have a shop make the pipe(s) and get stainless steel tips which average around 30-50 dollars each. i got prebent pipes for my truck for $8 a piece. and at the time the tips were $25 but they went up to $40 a piece.
probably lookin at 40 or 50 to cut the other muffler off and put the new one on, then you have to pay for pipe and another tip and the labor plus the new flowmaster
and you can ALWAYS sell that 40 series to some 16 year old for like 50 bucks
thats what ive always done

Well i went to two places today. First one said they could do a SI/DO for $380 but the guys barely spoke english and didnt know what a flowmaster super 44 was. The second was Midas, told me to buy a direct fit cat back and they would install it. Which got me thinking about just spending a few extra dollars and being totally happy. The system i looked at was the flowmaster american thunder cat back. Gonna mull this over for a few days, opinions appreciated.
