I just wanna buy a SI/DO Super 44 + 1 tip. I have an 18x4 Slash Cut tip on right now so i would just use that one + buy one more. What do you mean having it fabbed up?

ask your local auto shop that does catback systems if they can get a set of prebent pipes. if they cant then get just a muffler and have a shop make the pipe(s) and get stainless steel tips which average around 30-50 dollars each. i got prebent pipes for my truck for $8 a piece. and at the time the tips were $25 but they went up to $40 a piece.

probably lookin at 40 or 50 to cut the other muffler off and put the new one on, then you have to pay for pipe and another tip and the labor plus the new flowmaster

and you can ALWAYS sell that 40 series to some 16 year old for like 50 bucks

thats what ive always done

1 Super 44 si/do, $79.99 ( prices dropped back to where they were last year, last I seen they were $87.95 )

2 stainless tips, anywhere from $60 - 120 depending what you go with.

The average install price with 6% tax is $106 - $120.

Well i went to two places today. First one said they could do a SI/DO for $380 but the guys barely spoke english and didnt know what a flowmaster super 44 was. The second was Midas, told me to buy a direct fit cat back and they would install it. Which got me thinking about just spending a few extra dollars and being totally happy. The system i looked at was the flowmaster american thunder cat back. Gonna mull this over for a few days, opinions appreciated.

Do NOT buy a Flowmaster cat-back. Buy the Super 44 muffler, and tips of your choice, take it all over to a shop to have them install it for a hundred or so.

No problem. I dont want to see you get a restrictive 40 series or 50 series from one of their cheap aluminized cat-backs Buy the Super 44 and hunt for a good shop that says your the boss on how to install it. Make sure they can mandrel bend it also, not basic crush bent.

the exhaust could be easily changed out with what ever one you want
