Many have. I personally dont like it, I believe its just leaving it unfinished. Trucks look great with tips, but the real low trucks sometimes dumping is the only route. And overtime the underbody of the bed may corrode and rust due to the exhaust gases but it would have to be like that for a real long time.

i have 14 inch maggie dumped right after the cab. i just did it as a quick fix i could do in my driveway. as far as how it sounds, it sounds good in the cab. it doesn't drone once i start cruising. exterior noise is pretty low.

i just ordered my tips and another maggie today, so i can get my duals done. sometime this year.

I have a Borla Turbo XL SI/SO dumped right before the rear tire. Zero drone and sounds great.

I have highflow maggie cats going to a dual in/out 40 series.

I started with tips out the back and it was pretty quiet. Then I cut them right behind the muffler and dumped it and it sounded a lot better in the cab and out.

Then the turn downs fell off and now it's pretty darn loud in the cab but I like it!
