Well my truck is a 2004 - 2005 model, unlike the 97 - 03 cats, my rears aren't O2 monitored, i'm not real sure about the 97 - 03 cats, but my rear cats are not O2 monitored so that made it easy for me to do without getting an engine light. But the extra sound is sweet and it performs good.

well the 97-03 models have a sensor, pre cat, cat, then another sensor. so you can cut the rears out and will be ok

get the mid pipe/cats. there is not much difference until you WOT. IF you have no cats, it will slow you down. at the track i went with no cats versus goin back with cats and i was .6 tenths slower without cats

But doesn't that mean the rears are monitored since they are after the rear cats? I thought you had an engine light after removing your rears when it was with no cats?
