Worth the Switch?

I have a K&N FIPK seen here http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...Prod=77-2569KP and i was wondering if it would be worth the switch to get a AF1 intake or another one? Is it really worth 300 bucks? Whats the difference?

Also on a flip side, i have the 18 inch magnaflow muffler, would i gain anything besides a different sound if i switched over to the 14 inch muffler?

As you can see, I bought items before i found this site.

No on both parts. I'd spend the money on E-Fans. Do you have custom tuning? if not, than I'd get that ASAP !!

no its not worth it to get the af1. with that money i would go with thumper and get e-fans or custom tuning. as far as the muffler goes, a 14" would be a little louder then an 18". the tone would stay around the same.

im waiting on PHP to get back from vacation so i can send them my edge. I was thinking about the e-fans but it seems alot of people have been having problems with them. I might wait til next year when the truck is out of warranty

The only problem that I have heard with e-fans are with troyer. I have not heard any problems with flex a lite. I have them and have had no problem with them in the 115 degree AZ heat. Plus I love the way the truck feels with them. Also, I have owned K&N, Airaid, S&B and Volant. IMO k&N are the worst of the bunch. But I agree with the other guys, you already got them no sense in waisting more money to replace them. Use the money for custom tunes.

Exactly. I built a set of E-Fans for my 1965 Mustang and I've been running them for a year with no problems.

14" body will be a hair louder, once it breaks in it will sound real good. S&B is pretty much the same as the AF1 at a fraction of the cost.
