closed or open

is the snb intake for the 01 fords is it sealed box or open could someone post a pic please

2 things:

1. May depend on engine size.

2. Maybe try looking on their website...

I had the same question, S&B describes their intakes as "enclosed" but that one is clearly not, wonder if it is not assembled all the way?

Well the hood incloses it. The little "walls" around the air filter box it in along with the engine walls of the truck.

not sure, mine's enclosed in a box, with a plexi-glass cover.

I'd assume that application isn't an actual closed box. When I use their product finder to verify MY S&B it show it in a closed box:

the S&B for my 02 5.4 is open, so likely would be the same for you

x2. S&B is good for the 04+ trucks, all are enclosed. Volant is another great kit thats enclosed.

nah i will pass on volant my friend has one on his ranger he doesnt like it i guess i will go with true flow
