Which K&N system is the best?

Just wonder which K&N intake system is the best for performance? I've read about their 77series i believe (i think that is the offroad one) and i'm interested. Any suggestions?

The best K&N intake system is the FIPK2, its the 3" plastic tube version. It is reliable and produces the best power.

Agreed, metal creates more heat soak than the plastic tubes.

I've had the 77 series for 4 years now, and have never had any problems or complaints.

X2 except that I've only had mine for 2 years. Still, no issues at all.

Which is why most car companies are using plastic intake manifolds.

Ive just read on truckperformance.com that the 77 series claims 14-16hp and 26ftlbs which is a metal tube and the fipk only claims 8-10 hp and around 10ftlbs with the plastic tube. and there is only a $20 or $30 diff between the two.

Correct. A lot of people don't like it but they are simply naive.
