Magnaflow install question

I just bought a dual rear exit Magnaflow 16614 exhaust system for my 2008 F150 Lariat.

I was told that unless I was doing the swap on a lift I would never get the OEM system out from under the truck. I was going to back the truck up on 2 of those ramp and get under it from there. Is this true will I have issues removing the OEM setup ? I cannot cut it as it is a lease and I will out it back on when I return the truck.

Thanks

of course installation will be easier on a lift.. but u should be ok if ur up on ramps since ur only ding cat-back, however, im not familiar with the 04 and up F150 exhaust setup.it may be a little aggrivating.. as with most jobs, just be patient...TIM

I did mine in the drivway and i did not even jack it up. Old exhaust came out no problem. Had to do some modifacations to make the new one work. As i have a tow hitch. No big deal.

the only thing i would change on those systems is the muffler size.. i would rather have a 14'' instead of 18''.. but itll be good

Cut your tailpipe behind your muffler.

you can still cut it as long as you cut it in a straight area of the pipe. Then you could put it back together pretty easly. The only reason I'm saying this is mine wouldn't come out, but mine is an 04 which i believe my muffler is larger than yours and may have been my problem. Any way good luck w/ it.

Thank You we appreciate your business. Just make sure that your cab & bed configuration is a EC-6.5' Bed or a CC-5.5' Bed

Drop the muffler from the front and pull the tailpipe along with, twist & turn as needed, you'll be alright. Thats how the shop took mine out, too 1 minute.
