Hi-Flow Cats would help as well as a good muffler. Not a fan of Flowmasters but they made a nice throaty deep sound. I wouldn't recommend Magnaflow because I'm sure the reason you took your cats off is because you want something loud. Magnaflows sound great but aren't as loud as flowmaster. People with Dynomax Bullets and Cherry Bombs.. etc.. etc.. that can chime in and give their experiences on them.

You will not fix the popping and "trashy" sound with a muffler, you will have to put converters back on to get rid of that.

Maybe, it will prob be just as cheap to get some small converters and put on, and the converters don't hurt performance.

What is your setup, do you have true duals or do you still have the factory y pipe?

Can you get any of your converters back? If so put the rears back in or atleast the fronts.

I would get the hi-flows, $65 each, very affordable but under your curcumstances maybe not, if you could get them then its very worth it.

I was happy with my old trucks Hi-flow cats and Flowmaster Super 44s, real deep and loud.
