need help
right now I have true duals with hedmen headers magna flow high flow catalytic converters(both sides) and 2 flowmaster mufflers now here is the thing I am going to take off the flow masters and put magnaflows on and I was wandering if while I was at it if I should have the guy put and x-pipe in instead of having the true duals seeing as some people think that it hurts your torque
also answer this with the thought in mind that I am gonna be putting a lighting engine in my truck hopfully by the end of the year.

if your going to a straight through muffler like a magnaflow i dont think you need an x pipe or an hpipe. the reason for those things is to balance the exhaust pressure created by the muffler but when the muffler doesnt create any pressure i dont see it as necessary
But a muffler alone cannot balance the "pulses" from both sides which is what a crossover does, and in doing this it inceases scavenging which keeps exhaust velocity up and allows the engine to "breath" easier
The fact that the left manifold exhaust is guided over to run along side the fuel tank, and in some cases ****s back out to the left out the back, that left manifold system is much longer than the right manifold exhaust... it needs a cross over.
Very well put.
